| Video Discription | Euthanasia is the practice of bringing a patient’s suffering to an end. It is done in the cases when patient is in a very painful state and no treatment can improve his/her condition. This practice is taken into consideration in cases of terminal illness or incurable disease which result in unbearable suffering to the patient. There are two kinds of Euthanasia, first one being active euthanasia in which the patient is injected with a lethal dose to end the patient’s life. The second category is of passive euthanasia, in which all forms of treatment are withdrawn and the patient’s life eventually comes to end due the illness. There is a huge debate revolving around active and passive euthanasia and which one is less cruel to perform. The lecture focuses on the ethical perspective of the debate concerning the issue.
