| Video Discription | Ginnie graciously allowed us to share her journey through breast cancer. In October 2021, Ginnie did a self-breast exam and found a lump on her right breast. She trusted her instincts and got her mammogram and ultrasound, which confirmed that there was indeed a lump in her breast. She came to us to get that lump biopsied, which unfortunately came back positive for breast cancer. Ginnie underwent neoadjuvant chemotherapy, but appeared to have a poor response to it. She met with Dr. Memsic and Dr. Min of Cassileth Plastic Surgery, who proposed the Direct-to-Implant Breast Reconstruction procedure. This surgery changed Ginnie's life! She had the surgery with us, and is now recovering, and she is CANCER FREE! We are so blessed to be able to share Ginnie's story-- she is a prime example of why it is so important to do self-breast exams and being in control of your breast health.
